It is a fact that Internet encrypted traffic growth in the last few years makes the HTTPS encrypted traffic exceeds 75% of the total internet traffic, and because of the encrypted nature of the HTTPS traffic controlling and optimizing this traffic was an issue and all ISPs and Telco operators were looking for a solution to enhance the content delivery to their end customers over HTTPS traffic, which a heavy protocol with higher latency than the HTTP and this protocol focus more on the data exchange privacy rather than the Quality of User Experience.
The platform provides unique carrier grade TCP Optimization solution that can optimize all TCP sessions including the encrypted traffic on TLS using mechanisms such as TCP packet loss recovery & retransmission acceleration, TCP session establishment acceleration, TCP dynamic window scaling, etc.
This TCP Optimization solution prove its efficiency for HTTPS response time enhancement and Quality of Experience in many large carriers and National ISPs.
The solution generates bandwidth savings or capacity gain from recovering the TCP packet losses. This capacity addition can be measured easily by measuring the difference in volume between the traffic coming into the solution from Internet and the volume of the traffic leaving the solution to wards the subscriber (The solution works as transparent bridge). The solution monitors and presents real time and historical graphs on Bandwidth savings. Third party tools can measure this capacity gain or Bandwidth Savings independently. The estimated saving is 15 % of the total TCP traffic, which is approximately 10 % of the total traffic. In the cases where the network infrastructure is poor and there are heavy congestions or radio/wireless transmissions, these savings could go higher than 25%.
